Denver has over 4,000 acres of traditional parks and parkways which include 2,500 urban natural acres, over 300 acres of parks designated Rivers & Trails and an additional 14,000 acres of spectacular mountain parks. You will find a variety of amenities, including picnic areas, jogging paths, recreation centers, hiking trails, or playground equipment.

Our city recreation system includes 29 facilities that offer a wide variety of affordable programs and activities. Our recreation centers offer indoor and outdoor pools, weight rooms, fitness areas, multipurpose rooms, dance spaces and gymnasiums. In addition to these features, some centers are equipped with additional popular amenities such as our indoor running track at Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center and our Therapy Pool at Martin Luther King Recreation Center. We also have several indoor and outdoor "sprayground" pools that include beach entry pools, slides and fun water features for children.
